Anniversary Shawl

Crochet Directions:
Materials: 24 oz. of selected yarn
Needles: Size H crochet hook or size to obtain gauge below.
Gauge: 3dc and 1 sp =
Finished size: Approximately 26" x 60"
Note: Pattern Single Crochet (sc) = insert hook in next st, yo, draw lp through
Double Crochet (dc) = yo 1 time, insert hook in next st, yo, draw lp through, yo,
draw through loop.
Row 1: Ch 96, sc in 3rd ch from end and each ch across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sc (ch 3 will act as 1 dc), ch 1, sk 1 sc, dc in next 3 sc, ch1, sk 1 sc across. You will finish with 2 dc at end, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next, ch 1, sk 1 sc, dc in next 3 sc, ch1, sk 1 sc across. You will finish with 3 dc's at the end – note on the last dc go into ch 3 sp, turn.
Row 4: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc (ch 3 will act as 1 dc), ch 1,sk 1d dc in next 3 dc, ch 1, sk 1 dc, across. You will finish with 2 dc at end – note on the last dc go into ch 3 sp, turn.
Repeat rows: 2-4 for the body of the shawl - last Row: Ch 3, sc in each of the remaining dc. Sc in last ch 3 at end of row.
Fasten off.
Fringe:
Cut pieces of yarn measuring 12 inches. Place hook through every other sc and
draw strands through. Pass all loose ends through loop and knot. Trim fringe even.
