A larger size needle is not required.

X   Knit first stitch

0     Yarn over

X     Knit second stitch

3 stitches on needle     X  0  X

                                    3   1   2

1.  Lift middle stitch (yarn over) up and off the needle.    

2.  Lift first stitch up and off the needle.

3.  One stitch remaining on needle.

Yarn over – Knit one – Repeat from 1.
